MARY SHELLY Her real name was Mary Wollstonecraft Shelly. She was born in the 1797 on August 30 in London, and died on February 1, 1851 Mary Shelly was of English nationality. She was a narrator, dramatist, essayist and British biographer, recognized above all by the author of the Gothic novel Frankenstein or the moderm Prometheus. Mary left her home and her contry when she was anly 16 years old, with the poet Percy Shelly with whom, she had started a relationship while married. The couple traveled to France and Switzerland. They married in 1816, after Shelly's first wife took her life by drowing. Fruit of living together there were several pregnancies and a single chila, a boy, only little Percy Florence survived childhood.
